Thor's hammer 3 symbol silver/gold colored
This has many symbols that were significant to the Vikings.
The rune symbol Ægishjálmur from Galdrabók is also called the “helmet of fear.” The rune symbol, which consists of eight Viking Age runes or Norse runes, rotating around a central point, was used for spells and protection. It was intended to both create fear in the enemy and strengthen one’s own power. The rune symbol was written with blood or bodily fluid on the chest, arm or forehead on the inside of the helmet. Even today, there are people who use this magical symbol for protection and to strengthen one’s own power.
In ancient art, the Valknut symbol is often associated with the gods, especially Odin, and it may be depicted with the points facing up or down. Numerous examples of this symbol can be found in Norse image stones and carvings such as those found on the Oseberg ship, a Viking ship that has some of the oldest known examples of this symbol. It is also possible to see various versions of this symbol appear in artifacts from other cultures.
