Jewelry Midgard Serpent
Made of stainless steel. The chain is 60 cm.
The Midgard Serpent is the offspring of Loki and Angerboda, and is the brother of the Fenris Wolf and Hel. It was originally called Jörmundgand (Jǫrmungandr, "the mighty staff"), but the Aesir threw it into the sea that surrounds the world, because they wanted more control over the monsters. There it has lain like a sea serpent and eaten itself bigger and bigger, and eventually became so large that it bites its own tail. Thus it was named the Midgard Serpent, because it encompasses all of Midgard.
During Ragnarok, the Midgard Serpent comes ashore and winds across fields and meadows. Then Thor must fight it and kill it. Thor himself receives his fatal wound in this duel, and dies.
