Gungne is the spear of Odin in Norse mythology. It hits everything he aims at, and always returns to his hand. The spear was made by the sons of the master blacksmith Ivaldi, two dwarf brothers who helped Loki when he had cut off the hair of Siv, Thor's wife

The Valknut symbol is often associated with the gods, especially Odin, and it can be depicted with the points facing up or down. Numerous examples of this symbol can be found in Norse image stones and carvings such as those found on the Oseberg ship, a Viking ship that has some of the oldest known examples of this symbol.
