Loki (Norse: Loki) appears in Norse mythology as one of the Æsir, although he is also of the Jötneætt. Loki lives in Åsgard and was initially respected because he had mixed blood with Odin himself. Loki is an older Norse and distinctive deity who stands out in both quality and characteristics, and is of great importance in that he is linked to the main gods Thor and Odin. His relationship with the other gods varies from myth to myth: in some he helps them while in others he appears as either dubious or as a direct opponent. His mythological function is as a trickster god.
